The chopped salad is still a unique treat, but the rest of the food has really gotten plain and boring. Miss the old "Bid Daddy's" restaurant where you could add cold octopus to the greek salad. Now the only thing I want when I go there is another handy wipe. Probably won't be back anytime soon. Too bad. Needs a major renovation.

I like Little Daddy's. It is your standard Coney Island, maybe a little bigger. Maybe a little cleaner. It was convenient to where I used to live and the staff was always nice. They are slower than other Coney Islands but that means they're still twice as fast as a Denny's. Slow doesn't mean bad, either. Some times I feel like I'm getting the bum's rush at a Coney. I'm pretty sure I saw either Sander Levin or Carl Levin here once.

The food is good. The service is very good. The menu selection is crazy. If you are not exactly sure what you want to eat...come here. There choices are numerous from Greek food, salads, coneys, burgers, sandwiches, fish, breakfast.... it's like the place across the street on Seinfeld...but with people inside!

Solid. Nothing bad, prices pretty good and plentiful food amounts. Pretty busy but never jammed, though have not tried weekend breakfast. A diner with some cheap lunch specials - not particularly fast but a safe and reliable choice. Good combinations and lunch specials. WIsh they sliced their gyro meat MUCH thinner..

I had dinner here a few weeks ago with friends and felt that the service could have been better. The inside resembles Rams Horn, and the menu is greek/american. The prices are average to Coney and Rams Horn with meals in the $6.00 to $9.00 range. My boyfriend and I along with our friends walked in and noticed the place was surprisingly empty! It is also open until 10:00p.m. or 11:00p.m. and it was only around 8:00p.m. when we arrived, so we were not barging in right before closing time! ( I just want to make that clear) Anyhow we were seated and I skimmed the menu and decided on the gyro platter. My friend ordered a chicken dish and she specified fried! Our waiter was nice but he just wasn't attentive and this got annoying after awhile especially when my boyfriend wanted refills! I felt the neglect was not called for especially since we were the only table in the restaurant! When our food came the waiter plunks down a grilled chicken dinner for my friend, even though she asked for fried. The gyro meat in my platter was cold! I am very understanding if a place is busy and a mistake like this occurs, but not in this instance! I didn't make a complaint because I am paranoid about doing that! I went ahead and ate part of it but I was disappointed. My friend made it known that she asked for fried chicken but she was nice about his mistake and didn't make him take it back. I kept thinking if the waitstaff and cooks didn't put much effort into the food prep and service when the place was slow then what do they do when it is busy? Aside from my issue with service, this place would be fine for meeting friends to grab a quick lunch or dinner! I just hope the service isn't always the way I experienced it!

This place use to have one of the best Turkey Club Triple Decker sandwiches. It had just the right combination of thinly stacked turkey and bacon. Its multi-grain toast is delicious. Yesterday, I had my heart set on one of theses sandwiches. When it arrived at my table, I could see it was different. They had substituted the thinly sliced turkey for chunks of turkey. I was completely turned off by it. I couldn't imagine chewing through chunks of turkey. In my mind they had ruined this sandwich. I hate it when a restaurant has an excellent sandwich and in my mind destroys it. To be fair, I did not taste this sandwich so maybe it was good. So I will give the restaurant 3 stars instead of 2. If they go back to the original sandwich, I would reconsider my review and give it 4 stars. This restaurant also doesn't have Wi-Fi.

I get carryout from here fairly often since it's right next to work. Even during the lunch rush, carryout is fast and the employees are very friendly. The couple of times I dined in, everything was great. Only docked a star because a burger and fries end up being a little pricey, but they're tasty.

Went here once and ordered the saganaki. The waiter was some teenage kid who gave the weakest opa I've ever heard. I made him put the fire out and re-do with more oomph in his opa.

This is the little version of Big Daddy's. I am not kidding. it's OK. Kind of like a family restaurant / coney island. They serve a chopped salad that has feta cheese mixed in. I don't recall the name of it. That's not bad.

This rating is for two things: 1) Service, and 2) Salad. I love Little Daddy's for their salads. It seems pretty hard to find a reasonably-priced, tasty and fresh salad for lunch nowadays. Meal size salads often end up being too expensive at most places. The salad portion of their menu is humongous, and there hasn't been one that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. You can find your traditional salads, but my faves are the Maurice, the Traverse City and my absolute favorite, and the reason I keep going back is the amazing Tommy salad. The fresh dill makes this salad really something. The 1/2 Tommy, chopped and tossed by itself is $5.99 and, with the complimentary pita, is PLENTY for lunch. Add gyro meat (for an extra $2, I think) and it's even better. Their dressings are homemade and the Tommy dressing, which I think is just a variation on Greek salad-dressing, is outstanding. I've always had excellent service here (carry-out and dining in) and there are plenty of other tasty items besides the salads, like the chicken lemon rice soup, the grape leaves appetizer (delish!) and the spinach pie triangles. It's definitely a step up from just being a coney, but you can get all your traditional coney fare here as well. It gets pretty crowded at lunch, but there is plenty of space, so I've never had to wait. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like interesting salads.

Top 5 Breakfast places in Detroit in terms of a great, good old-school breakfast place. Friendly staff, quick service, food is outstanding (love the Greek omelet) and you gotta get the Saganaki regardless of time of day. OPA!!!!

Some coworkers ordered and picked up the food, so I can't comment on the decor as I didn't go in, but i can tell you that the Tommy Salad will make you a believer. At first I had no idea what to expect as no one would tell me what I was about to eat, and had I known I'd never have tried it as I don't typically like greek salads or wraps, but this was incredible. The portion was enormous, the dressing was delicious, and the fresh dill in the salad made all of the other ingredients pop. I felt incredibly full and satisfied about half way through the salad, so it's definitely enough to fill a hungry person up. Give the Tommy a whirl!

Little Daddy's..The best place for a huge variety of all sorts of meals and awesome prices. I love the place, everyone there treats you like family ..they even come to remember what your favorites are. It was recently redecorated and now the inside is like brand new , fun fresh and a great place to eat. Chef Keith has created some of most wonderful dishes and he is 'Top Chef' in the kitchen. Because of all my experience eating there... And I go very often..for both eat in and carry out... I have started using them for catering. Their catering menu is immense and they know how to prepare and deliver the menu items to your event promptly and ready to go. Thinking of catering an event? Try Little Daddy';s and ask for Chef Keith.

we decided to stop here for dinner tonight but should have kept going.....The place is not appealing at all! the grass hasnt been mowed, the building is falling apart, and it has an old lingering slight smell to the place. The menu is way way to extensive for the impatient server we had so i just ordered a triple decker with fries. should have read what they put on it, i havent ate kraft american "cheese" in decades! We left pontiac to eat here but pontiac has nicer restaurants than this!

My boyfriend and I love coming here for breakfast. They have so many options, the coffee is good, and the service is friendly and quick. I've tried a couple different breakfast items, but I really love Cheif Keith's Egg White Omelette. We have come here for dinner, as well. They have a HUGE menu with a variety of options that you can't find at other Coney Island Restaurants.

Do not carry out from this location; three times in the last two months the staff have failed to include dressing that comes with Greek salads, grilled chicken when ordered, French fries that come with meals, and pita bread. This is not an isolated incident, I will never carry out from here again.

I just can't go here anymore! I used to come here every Sunday morning for breakfast after church. The waitresses are great! I absolutely adore Eden and Landi! But I can't wait 45 minutes to an hour for breakfast . The food isn't that good. It's always the same, 2 cooks didn't show up etc. Sometimes on Sunday the manager or owner would be screwing up the line! They had a great manger there but transferred him, I guess they have similar problems elsewhere. C'mon folks we waited 1.5 hrs on fathers day for our food after being seated. Even on a busy day that's ridiculous. Get your act together folks! If you can assemble a good waitstaff, find some cooks that show up and get the food out!
(1)

I keep trying this place and keep regretting it. Staff is very pleasant, especially Landi, but the food falls short. Maybe that's why it's 1/3 full on Saturday night. Anyone who appreciates good food will likely want to skip this place.

Eekkk I was tempted to give it 4 stars, but it was because of location, cleanliness, and price, not because of food quality. Typical coney island, think tasty Denny's or upscale Leo's. I would probably score this place 4/5 but I feel it's good enough that they deserve some help boosting up their average. Seriously, this place Rocks! I mean it's hard to categorize Little Daddy's, is it a fancy coney, a fancy diner, a causal Greek restaurant, A fresh seafood restaurant? etc.. I guess it's all or those things and more. It's one of those places where the menu is so large that you fear it's all going to be mediocre at best, I mean how can they do Greek, Deli, Breakfast, Italian, Salads, Burgers, Seafood, Desserts, Soups, etc.etc....etc.. the menu is freaking huge, how can they do all that stuff well? I don't know, But , every single time I go there they deliver above average properly seasoned and prepared food in large portions. Sure, I admit there are cheaper coneys in the area, it certainly isn't as cheep as it was when it was Denny's, but this is much much better. Some sure bets here are: -Gyros -Omelets, especially the Greek Omelet, so good -Salad, especially the "Tommy" -Sweet Potato Pancakes

They have taken dining to a new level....of DISAPPOINTMENT! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I was surprised at how bad the staff was...until I met the Manager. This concept is old and the staff is doing zero to keep it alive. Spend your money someplace where the staff cares about the Customer. Yelp needs to give us an option to give a less then one star rating.

Placed a carry out order with the restaurant and was treated very poorly. They also shorted us on the bread and I believe that was intentional. Because we have gone there before and the same thing has happened. I believe it's because it was a large order. Once my father took his car club to the restaurant, and no one was there and they wanted to charge them $100 to sit and drink coffee in the restaurant and there was about 30 of this people. I guess they just don't want any business.

Will never eat here again. The restaurant was filthy...the rest rooms, the floors were dirty, looked up and realized the ceiling tiles had stains...pretty gross all around. They served me two slices of salmon on the side of a stale bagel and the salmon was half brown, and fishy. They charged full price for a platter and the waitress said "The manager said this is how we have to charge you." Three unsatisfied customers. This place needs a makeover - kitchen nightmare-style.

I am in love with the Tommy Salad here....its a Greek salad chopped with fresh dill. I highly recommend it. However, do not get the very bad interpretation of the beloved Alban's big wheel.... it is nothing like it, and oh, how I miss Alban's. (insert pathetic whimper) It's not a bad sandwich, it's just not Alban's. They claim to have won awards from their grilled cheese...it is good. Insanely cheesey. I think there is 5 different cheeses and it is on cheese challah. Bonus for coffee drinkers....you get your own caraffe of coffee. This place is good for lunch and breakfast....lots of blue hairs dig it...but don't let it scare you away thinking it is boring and bland. Good mixture of Greek and American food. Reasonable prices. Lots of room. Pretty big menu.

We order out from here for work about once a week, and while the food is fine (typical coney island fare) they've forgotten my spinach pie twice in a row. Considering this is usually a signature item at places like this, I'm not impressed.

Love this place. Definitely a Coney style spot, but way better quality - with flaming Greek cheese & a grilled cheese on their menu that are both off the chain. I also like their breakfast, and their service really is friendly & attentive without being overbearing.

Little Daddy's has the best salads! I eat there at least once a week, and in between I look forward to my visit. Current favorites of mine are the Aggie's Apple Salad, the Strawberry Spinach salad with chicken, the Tommy (of course; I like mine with all romaine), but there are so many. I am usually there with a group of ladies, and the server remembers who can't have onions, who wants extra pickles, who wants the small size salad in the big bowl, etc. My boys like the burgers and sandwiches, my husband the omelets. And we all appreciate the staff who go out of their way to accommodate us with humor and good grace.
(5)
John T.
Solid burgers and service, but honestly nothing special. Also, I felt that the portions were not very filling for the price. I got the Saganaki burger or something like that, and it was very good, but some of the other things (i.e. pancakes) were very dry and bland.

I live close by and go here often and always see somebody I know. This is a good place to meet for a casual lunch or breakfast. It's similar to other area "coney" style eat spots. It's busy at lunch time, not so much at dinner. It's good for groups. The salads are good, and the gyros are great. Also, breakfast food is available anytime and it's usually terrific. It's not gourmet or fancy, but the menu has lots of variety and generally good quality food. I've also used their catering service for breakfast for 40. It's was really good, cheap, and they delivered!

Pros. Big menu that has a variety of foods for adults and children. Good price for a family. Good portions Cons Food is marginal. It was not as warm as it should have been

We order out from here for work about once a week, and while the food is fine (typical coney island fare) they've forgotten my spinach pie twice in a row. Considering this is usually a signature item at places like this, I'm not impressed.

Parents love the Greek menu items and had a wonderful experience with the service. Saganaki was wonderful. Thank you

I eat here often because of its location to my office. The wait staff are very friendly and the menu has something for everyone to enjoy. In an area full of steak houses it's nice to have a spot like this.
